Karl Marx, Shihonron, final first Japanese translation (1927-1928)

------------------------------------------------------------------

“As the methodological understanding of Marxism advanced, from about 1917 onward, the Marxists began to attempt scientific analysis of the structure of Japanese capitalism and the revolutionary process in the Meiji Restoration, and thence to move towards trying to grasp Japan's modern society in its entirety. This move was intimately connected with the clarification of various practical questions relating to revolutionary strategy about which the Communist Party, ever since its reconstruction, had been debating with the Ronoha (Worker-Farmer faction) centred around Yamakawa Hitoshi”, Takeuchi Yoshitomo writes in “The role of Marxism in Japan” in: “Revue Internationale de Philosophie” 28, 1974, p. 738.
